I am originally from Taylorville, Illinois. Growing up, I was very active in Boy Scouts and
ultimately earned my Eagle Scout. After high school, I attended Lincoln Land Community
College, while also working toward my private pilot’s license and working full-time as a
Teamster for Pepsi.
After completing Junior College, I joined the United States Army and served as a
UH-60 Blackhawk Crew Chief. Soon after completing my service, I married my wife, Lilla,
and we began our family here in Normal, Illinois in 2004. We are the proud parents of
three children.
I attended ISU and completed my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and
earned my Graduate Certification in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance with a
Certificate from the NSA.
I continue to volunteer with community organizations and my church. I serve as assistant
coach with Bloomington Team One Jiu-Jitsu. I am also currently serving on the executive
board of Guns Saves Life.
